PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Maj. Gen. Frank J. Padilla, 10th Air Force Commander, congratulates Colonel Steven W. A government shutdown was avoided yesterday as congress approved a temporary spending bill. The measure will fund government agencies through December 11. As a result, the 920th Rescue Wing here at Patrick AFB and its geographically-separated units at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona and Portland, Oregon will continue with the upcoming drill weekend as scheduled.
