39th Rescue Squadron cargo training

A Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment systems is loaded into the back of an HC-130J Combat King II at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Sept. 20, 2022. The RAID systems consist of infrared sensors carried via an aerostat or stationary platform capable of detecting hostile troop and/or equipment movement at great distances. In an effort to broaden their skills to load uncommon equipment in rescue situations, 39th RQS loadmasters completed specialized cargo-loading training at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, in September.
