After the opening ceremony of the Space Coast Rocketman Triathlon May 5, 1,600 athletes from around the globe dove into the brackish Indian River in Titusville, Fla., to start the swimming portion of the event. Air Force Reservist Senior Airman Caitlin Novell, 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., belted out the national anthem prior to the Space Coast Rocketman Triathlon in Titusville, Fla. After belting out the national anthem at the May 5 Rocketman Triathlon, Air Force Reservist Senior Airman Caitlin Novell, 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., posed with one the participants, Sister Madonna, otherwise known at the the Iron Nun. Not only did Sister Madonna give the invocation, but at 82, she also participated in, and finished the triathlon. Deputy David Say, U.S. Marshals Service and Air Force Reservist at the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., holds two different, but important titles. At the 920th RQW, Say is the Reserve first sergeant at the 920th RQW's Operational Support Squadron. He's responsible for mentoring the young Airmen who are responsible for life-saving equipment that rescue pilots and aircrew wear while flying into unknown areas to save the life of a downed pilot or injured soldier.
