AVON AIR FORCE RANGE, Fla. --

Earlier this month, the 301st Rescue Squadron conducted alternate insertion and extraction training at Avon Park Air Force Range, Florida.

The training, which included restricted visibility approaches, focused on the 301st RQS's ability to insert and extract troops from contested areas.

The squadron operates Pave Hawk helicopters that execute the wing's combat search and rescue mission; to plan, lead and conduct military rescue operations and missions to deny competitors and adversaries exploitation of isolated personnel.
