Atlantis lift-off
PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla.- Space Shuttle Atlantis lifts-off at Kennedy Space Center June 8. The Guardian Angel Airman from the 920th Rescue Wing here were on the scenes in support of the shuttle launch in the case of a shuttle emergency. The 920th RQW provides rescue support for all NASA space shuttle missions, including safety and security surveillance of the Eastern Range during all launches from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Kennedy Space Center.
