2010 SAREX

17 WING WINNIPEG, Man., - Canadian search and rescue technicians (SARTechs) work hand-in-hand with the 920th Rescue Wing reserve pararescuemen (PJs) during the 2010 Grand Prairie search and rescue exercise 14-18 May. The reservists from the 920th RQW, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., put their training to the test as they extract "victims" from mountain areas and jump into valleys, both of which are not available for training in the flat, beach terrain of Florida. The 920th RQW is the most called upon Reserve unit in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Its mission is combat search and rescue, civilian search and rescue and astrounaut shuttle and rocket launch support.
