Paying Respect to fallen Soldiers, Airmen
DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Army Sergeant 1st Class Derek Dutcher, a recruiter from the Tucson Recruiting Company, Center Pointe Recruiting Station, and Air Force Reserve Senior Airman David Brydon, a HH-60G Crew Chief with the 943rd Maintenance Squadron, salute in respect after placing a wreath in place at the static display model of PONY 1-2, located at Heritage Park here March 8. Four aircrew members from the 71st Specia Operations Squadron and 11 U.S. Army Special Forces Soldiers died when PONY 1-2 crashed about 20 miles northwest of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base during a nighttime training mission March 12, 1989.
