Rocket’s red glare: Rescue Airmen support successful Atlas V launch
PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Airmen from the 920th Rescue Wing stationed at Patrick supported an Atlas V rocket launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., July 19, 2013. The Reserve Airmen from the 920th RQW flew over Florida’s Atlantic Coast in HH-60G Pave Hawk Helicopters to clear the range prior to the launch, ensuring boats and ships were outside the area underneath the rocket’s trajectory.
