Senior NCO of the Year

Master Sgt. Brent Burch, a pararescueman at the 308th Rescue Squadron, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, was named the 920th Rescue Wing’s Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for 2016. Burch enabled more than 350 training events and was selected as the squadron’s logistics superintendent. He facilitated a manpower study of more than 1,000 tasks across 12 Air Force Specialty Codes and collected vital data for Air Force Reserve Command. Burch also developed new equipment standards processes for Guardian Angels operators, purchasing approximately 2,000 items and ensuring personnel were 100 percent equipped. As a Citizen Airman, Burch pursued a bachelor’s degree in sports and health management and volunteered as a youth soccer coach. He is also assisted with the 920th Rescue Wing’s Family Day and started a family beach cleanup program in his community.
