Wing hosts October commander's call Published Oct. 15, 2017 By Senior Airman Brandon Kalloo Sanes 920th Rescue Wing PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Florida -- Wing commander, Col. Kurt Matthews, 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, held a commander's call during the October drill weekend. Approximately 1,000 Airmen assembled at the Base Theater. Many rescue Airmen were recognized throughout the wing for their outstanding efforts following a successful Capstone Inspection Event; a long-range rescue at sea; and hurricane relief efforts, among other taskings. Command Chief Douglas Isaacks took to the stage to address the Airmen for the first time since taking the position in August. Finally, the colonel gave a Wingman day briefing and a representative from the Employer Support of Guard and Reserve gave vital civilian employer information to the wing due to the high operations tempo and the deployments that come with it.
