The United Launch Alliance’s Delta IV rocket launched carrying a Wideband Global SATCOM WGS-10 satellite March 15, 2019, but not before Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 920th Rescue Wing launched in two HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters from Patrick Air Force Base, approximately 11 miles south, to clear the Eeastern Range beneath the launch trajectory.

The satellite will enhance communication capability for command and control of U.S. military forces on the battlefield, a tool that 920th rescue warriors are familiar with in their line of work performing combat search and rescue of injured combatants.
