Boy Scouts from Troop 369, Merritt Island, Fla., visit elite special operators in Cocoa Beach, Fla at the 920th Rescue Wing.

One of the special operators, Wing Commander, Col. Jeffrey Macrander, shared his unit's mission and words of wisdom with the scouts. He also showed the scouts videos of how his Airmen train as the 911 of all the military--to rescue injured combatants from battle.

The scouts explored combat-search-and-rescue aircraft, to include the HC-130P/N King refueling tanker and the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter, used to employ Guardian Angel Airmen, known as the G.I. Joes of the Air Force, to provide immediate life-saving trauma care to save injured combatants on the battlefield.

The scouts visit was capped off with night vision goggle demonstration, and a show-and-tell of aviation life support gear.
