Children of active duty and Reserve Airmen assigned to Patrick were immersed into military operations here Jan. 7, 2012, during the Kids Understanding Deployments event, also known as KUDOS. Approximately 90 children attended the event, which included a tour of 920th Rescue Wing aircraft, a simulated deployment line, an obstacle course, a K-9 military working dogs demonstration and more. The event, which was tailored to children ages 5-12, was led by the 45th Space Wing and supported by the 920th RQW, both located at Patrick. The goal of KUDOS was to give children a better understanding of the deployment process in a fun and interactive environment.
