Pave Hawk flies rescue silouhette
Rescue Reservists from the 920th Rescue Wing fly an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicoter at 4,500 feet above the Banana River which borders Patrick Air Force Base, Fla. to the west. At that height, the helicopters serve as a jump platform for pararescuemen to hone their freefall skills to perform water rescues. The portion of the river where they train is called the Judy Drop Zone and is used as a training site for pararescuemen from the wing's 308th Rescue Squadron.
