920th Public Affairs wins eight command awards Published Feb. 28, 2008 920th Rescue Wing Public Affairs Office PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Rescue Wing journalists here cleaned up in the 2007 Air Force Reserve Command Media Contest, taking home five first-place awards, including best feature story, sports story, graphic, combat documentation photo and best photo by a stringer. In all, the 920th Public Affairs Office won eight awards, the most of any unit in the command. The winners by category are: FEATURE ARTICLE: First place - Staff Sgt. Paul Flipse "The Heart of Freedom" SPORTS ARTICLE: First place - Master Sgt. Chance Babin "Flight Surgeon Supports Wrestling Team" ART/GRAPHICS: First place - Sergeant Flipse "Open Water" COMBAT DOCUMENTATION PHOTO: First place - Sergeant Babin "Exercise Shared Accord" STRINGER PHOTOGRAPHER: First place - Tech. Sgt. Robert Grande "Mission Without Borders" COMMAND PUBLICATION: Second place - Angel's Wings PHOTOJOURNALISM: Second place - Capt. Cathleen Snow "Operation NOW 2007" (back cover) NEWS ARTICLE: Third place - Sergeant Babin "Rescue Wing Airman injured in Iraq, receives Purple Heart" Ten reservists won awards in the 2007 Air Force Reserve Command Media Contest and had their work go forward to the 2007 Air Force Media Contest in San Antonio, Texas, Feb. 25-29. Reservists and civilian employees from 18 AFRC units submitted 155 entries to the command contest, which ended here in late January.
