PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- A 920th Rescue Wing HC-130 Hercules undergoes its monthly routine of being scrubbed from nose to tail at the wash rack here Dec. 13. The Hercules is used by the wing during combat and peacetime search-and-rescue missions -- as transportation for pararescuemen and their gear, to refuel the unit's HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters and to help scan for survivors/missing persons. The practice of systematically scouring Air Force aircraft, improves their performance, prolongs their lives and makes it easier for to maintainers to inspect and service them.
