Rescue wing Airman prepare for the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch. Two HH-60G Pavehawk helicopters took off toward Kennedy Space Center to support recovering astronauts in the worst case scenario.

Rescue wing Airman prepare for the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch. They readied several HH-60G Pavehawk helicopters as well as an HC-130 P/N to recover astronauts in the worst case scenario. Nasa has made two attempts to launch the Space Shuttle but due to weather and maintenance issues, the launches were scrubbed and rescheduled.
