Exercise Sunshine Rescue trains Airmen on leading edge Combat Search and Rescue capabilities for next generation warfighting. During this exercise, 920th Rescue Wing Pararescuemen and 165th Air Support Operations Squadron Tactical Air Control Party Airmen used advanced communication and command and control technologies interlinked with HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters and A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft to simulate warfighting in highly contested environments.

The goal of the Sunshine Rescue 2023 exercise is to execute traditional Combat Search and Rescue capabilities with forward-edge ground force tactics, techniques, and procedures while utilizing advanced command and control technologies.

The Air Dominance Center is one of four Combat Readiness Training Centers in the United States located at the 165th Airlift Wing, Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia.
