PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Lt. Gen. James Jackson, chief of Air Force Reserve, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., and commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., visited with the 920th Rescue Wing, here, Aug 20.

Jackson spent his day meeting the Airmen and touring the different squadrons of the 920th RQW

"The 920th has a great reputation," said Jackson. "I want to thank you for all your hard work and your service."

During Jackson's visit with the 920th RQW he toured the flightline, the 920th Aeromedical Staging Squadron and the 308th Rescue Squadron.

"It was great learning about the new technology being used, such as the patient simulator, that is available to Airmen," said Jackson.

At each squadron Jackson asked questions to the Airmen to learn about their duties.

"We are proud to have had the opportunity to share our duties with (Lt.) Gen. Jackson," said Staff Sgt. Brian E. Mardy, HC-130 crew chief assigned to the 920th Maintenance Squadron.

Airmen also had the opportunity to address concerns with Jackson during an enlisted members' breakfast and again at a leadership luncheon.

"Your concerns are important to me. If I don't know the answer to a question I will find it and get back to you," Jackson said "Even after I leave, I want you to email me your concerns and questions, just make sure you CC your commanders."
The goal Jackson wanted to accomplish, here, was to let the Airmen know they have a voice and their concerns will be addressed.

"The 920th Rescue Wing has great people and an enduring mission,'" Jackson said. "I want to ensure that the Air Force retains our hard workers and we keep the level of excellence the 920th has demonstrated."
