The 920th Rescue Wing has added another fixed-wing, search-and-rescue refueling aircraft to its inventory.

The wing recently acquired an HC-130P/N "King" from the 71st Rescue Squadron at Moody AFB, Ga. The King replaced a WC-130 used mostly for training due to its lack of refueling capability.

The HC-130 is an extended-range version of the C-130 Hercules transport. It is the only dedicated fixed-wing combat-search-and-rescue platform in the Air Force inventory.
