The new 920th Mission Support Group commander officially assumed command during a ceremony at the base theater here March 3.

Col. Jeanne Bisesi, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, will oversee mission support for the 920th Rescue Wing here including logistics, facilities, force protection, personnel, services and communications.

Col. Jeffrey Macrander, 920th RQW commander, welcomed Bisesi, her parents, her husband, their four children, and other friends and 920th Airmen during the ceremony. He said he is confident in Bisesi's skills and abilities as a leader.

"Colonel Bisesi certainly hit the ground running, and I've been very impressed so far with what she's doing," Macrander said.

During the ceremony, Macrander handed the 920th MSG flag to Bisesi, symbolizing giving her the responsibility, authority and accountability of command for the group.

Bisesi thanked her family, friends, fellow Airmen, and the rest of the audience for supporting her in her new role. She said she is proud to be part of the 920th RQW and its rescue mission.

"I'm excited and really humbled to be given the opportunity to participate in this mission," Bisesi said. "Thank you for placing your trust and confidence in me."

While on active duty, she served in intelligence, tactics, airlift operations and wing plans. She transferred to the Air National Guard in 2000 and then became a Reservist in 2005. Her most recent assignment was deputy division chief, Resource Integration Division at Air Force Materiel Command headquarters, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
