  • Maj. Gen. Ronald B. “Bruce” Miller, 10th Air Force commander, Naval Air Station Forth Worth, Texas showed up on Florida’s Space Coast with 15 Texas business and community leaders to visit the 920th Rescue Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida and learn about its mission. During the visit the civic leaders took time out for a group photo in front of a space capsule. The capsule was used by U.S. Air Force rescue personnel in the 67th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron at Royal Air Force Woodbridge to train in recovery operations for both the Apollo and Skylab programs. The capsule has been on loan from the Smithsonian Institute’s National Air and Space museum since 1992 due to the unit’s role in human spaceflight rescue. That fateful day has led her on a journey to bring awareness to PTSD and traumatic brain injury disorders that lead 22 veterans a day to take their own lives.
