Reservists from the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick AFB, Fla., provided range-clearance and safety support for an Atlas V rocket launch from nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Nov. 18. The payload was part of NASA's Mars Scout Program. It will take critical measurements of the Martian upper atmosphere to help scientists understand climate change over the Red Planet's history. MAVEN is the first spacecraft devoted to exploring and understanding the Martian upper atmosphere. (AF File Image)
