Chief Master Sgt. Gerald Delebreau, serving as the 321st Air Expeditionary Wing command chief master sergeant, from May 2011 to December 2011 was the last Combat Airman out of Iraq when the war ended December 2011. Here, he holds the U.S. flag during a remembrance march dressed in full battle rattle Sept. 11, 2011, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the attacks. The two-mile march honored those who lost their lives during the attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa. Delebreau served as the command chief master sergeant for the 920th Rescue Wing for four years and is now assigned to the Pentagon as the Chief Enlisted Liaison for the National Guard and Reserve Matters, Joint Chiefs of Staff.
