Tour of the 920th RQW
Col. Jeffrey Macrander, 920th Rescue Wing Commander, speaks to the Department of Defense's Executive Leadership Development Program's 60-member class of 2012 during a tour of the 920th RQW Monday. The ELDP members, participants in a 10-month immersive program that exposes them to the roles and mission of the entire DOD, visited Cape Canaveral Air Force Station before ending their day learning about the Air Force Reserve's Combat Search and Rescue missions. The class was able to climb on board an HC-130/King aircraft and HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter to learn about their mission capabilities. Two pararescuemen (PJs) were on scene with their gear to talk about their role during search and rescue missions and their experiences while deployed recently to Afghanistan.
