Command Chief is chosen!

Col. Jeffrey Macrander, 920th Rescue Wing Commander, hands over the responsibility of the 'eyes and ears' of the enlisted force to Chief Master Sgt. Timothy Bianchi during wing commander's call March 4. With a star to top off his eight stripes, Bianchi will wear the top enlisted rank in the wing. Bianchi replaces Command Chief Master Sgt. Gerald Delebreau who held the position since April 16, 2008. Delebreau is leaving for a new job at the Pentagon as the Chief Enlisted Advisor for the National Guard and Reserve Manager. While Delebreau was deployed to Iraq from April 2011 through December 2011, Bianchi was appointed as the interim command chief. "It is my honor and privilege to serve the Airmen here at the 920th Rescue Wing," Bianchi said during his acceptance speech. "I look forward to continually building the relationship between the enlisted and officer corp." Bianchi's new rank will take effect March 15. (U.S. Air Force photo/2nd Lt. Leslie Forshaw)
