In honor of duty

PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Tech. Sgt. Marc McDilda readies the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter for a training mission. He approaches fellow crew member Tech. Sgt. Scott Anderson's (seated in helo) flight gear in prepartion for the mission. The crew members affixed an MIA/POW patch (in red) to their flight helmets in recognition of POW/MIA Recognition Day today. The federal holiday is designated a day of remembrance and hope for the speedy and safe return of American Prisoners of War and those still Missing in Action. It also seeks the return of the remains of fallen soldiers. It is a tremendous honor to be part of a team engaged in three of the Air Force Reserve's most cutting-edge and satisfying missions: combat search and rescue; space support; and humanitarian assistance. Our mission of saving lives is crucial and the 920th Rescue Wing is the best at what they do. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff. Sgt. Ken Salgat)
