PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- An HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter is ready in the wing Sept. 15. Air Force Reserve crews worked throughout the day to perform pre-flight inspections here on the helicopter prior to a scheduled training mission. The primary mission of the HH-60G Pave Hawk is to conduct day or night combat search and rescue operations into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel during time of war. The HH-60G also performs civil search and rescue, emergency aeromedical evacuation, disaster relief, international aid, counterdrug interdiction and NASA launch support (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
