HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii - Staff Sgt. William Cenna, a reserve pararescueman with the 920th Rescue Wing based out of Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., participates in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise being held in Hawaii. RIMPAC is a series of multinational maritime exercises held biannually and is in its 22nd year. The mission of the 920th RQW is search for, locate and recover U.S. Armed Forces personnel during military operations. Their arrival at Hickam allows them to enter the exercise during the tactical phase where participants will transition into the execution of a warlike scenario consisting of unscheduled events where participants will have the opportunity to operate as they would during actual real world contingency or combat operations.
