17 WING WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, Canada, - Staff Sgts'. Josh Yarbrough and Carlous Gillis, both reservists from the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., pack parachutes for the 920th RQW pararescuemen during the 2010 Grand Prairie, Alberta search and rescue exercise. From May 14-18, 2010, the reservists along with members of Canad's 435 Search and Rescue Squadron, out of Winnipeg Manitoba, 440 Squadron from Yellowknife, along with members of Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) and various other local emergency response groups and organizations in Grande Prairie Alberta, all participated in the SAREX. The exercise consisted of searches from the air, PJs parachuting, casualty air extraction by STARS and ground evacuation by local EMS technicians. The exercise also consisted of precision aircraft landing by HC-130 Hercules aircraft (both American and Canadian) as well as accuracy cargo drops and parachute accuracy jumps.
