HH-60 Pave Hawk Rescue Demo
PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – One of the two HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters from the 920th Rescue Wing here, simulates a rescue demonstration by hoisting two pararescuemen from the water during the Cocoa Beach Air Show Oct. 2-4, 2009. Saving lives is at the heart of everything we do. It doesn’t matter if it’s a downed F-16 pilot in Iraq, astronauts who have bailed out from the space shuttle, hurricane victims stranded on rooftops or a fisherman trapped aboard a sinking ship in the Atlantic Ocean. If the 920th Rescue Wing gets the call, we’re going to get them to safety. (U.S. Air Force photo by/Master Sgt. Bryan Ripple)
