A King in Paris

LE BOURGET, France - Rescue Reservists from the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., piloted approximately 4,500 miles from Patrick to Paris June 11 for the world's largest International Air Show. As invited guests, they were a big draw with their HC-130P/N King. They touted its capabilities as an extended-range combat search and rescue version of the C-130 Hercules transport. Its mission is to extend the range of combat search and rescue helicopters by providing air refueling into enemy territory. It's also used to deliver pararescue specialist teams and their equipment. The Air Force reservists were part of sixty different militaries represented throughout the world. (Photo Illustration by Capt. Cathleen Snow)
