Animal Planet covers 920th Rescue Wing members' pets for upcoming episode
Maj. Mike Brasher, 301st Rescue Squadron, pilot, holds his dog, appropriately named Katrina, while interviewing on camera for an upcoming episode on the Discovery Channel’s Animal Planet. While flying missions in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina devastated the area, Maj. Brasher helped get the beagle to safety. Several days later, he saw Katrina in an animal shelter on Fox News, which fueled him to find the little beagle that no one claimed. Weeks later after reviewing 450 beagle posts on petsearch.com, Maj. Brasher located the dog at an animal shelter in Arizona and had her flown to Orlando florida where she now resides with the Brashers.
