Documenting the exercise

PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Three civilian media personnel shoot still and video images out the back of a HC-130P/N during a recent search and rescue exercise of Florida's east coast. The media personnel were tethered in the HC-130 to ensure their safety. The purpose of the exercise was to test the capability to locate, recover and provide medical treatment for astronauts following a Space Shuttle bailout. Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and NASA organizations participated in the exercise. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Cathleen Snow)
