Car Troubles

PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - Air Force Reserve pararescuemen, from the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., are trained to save lives - anywhere - anytime. In a ground training exercise they hone their skills in car extraction and medical treatment. In the scenario, a four-man PJ team is on alert in Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device leaves two carful of people trapped and injured. Within minutes the PJs are on the scene. After a brief assessment they offer assistance in the order of need based on injures and continue to treat, stabilize and package patients onto liters for evacuation. Reservists like these PJs, serve on the frontlines and on the leading edge of technology providing the Air Force a warfighting capability that is the best in the world.
