920th Rescue Wing creates new logistics squadron

The 920th Logistics Readiness Flight upgraded to the 920th Logistics Readiness Squadron during its activation ceremony Dec. 2 at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. According to historical records, the 920th LRS stood up April 1, 2003 with 18 personnel and has since grown to approximately 75 reservists and civilian personnel. The squadron is responsible for sustaining support operations for the 920th Rescue Wing. The ceremony marked the change when 920th Rescue Wing Commander Col. Kurt A. Mathews presented the squadron’s banner to Col. Jeanne E. Bisesi, 920th Mission Support Group commander. The squadron falls under the group, which is tasked with managing logistics, facilities, force protection, personnel, services and communications.
