With precision and planning, a 39th Rescue Squadron crew piloting an HC-130N combat-search-and-rescue aircraft, swept over the funeral of Air Force Colonel Rick A. Kibbey, a fellow rescue aviator, who was brought home from Vietnam after being missing in action for more than 50 years allowing his family to lay him to rest. On April 9, 2019, the crew presented two flags to Colonel Kibbey's eldest son, Retired Lt. Col. Rick Kibbey, and his wife Liz, who visited the crew at Patrick Air Force Base, where the two also work. The crew consisted of: MSgt Dean Scalise; Aircraft Commander, Lt Col Casey Sreenan; Radio Operator, SMSgt Kevin Zimmerman; Flight Engineer, SMSgt Michael Decker; Retired Lt. Col. Rick Kibbey; Liz Kibbey; Navigator, Capt Mark Creager; and Copilot, Capt Elizabeth Holloway. (Courtesy photo)
