The 301st Rescue Squadron conducted air-to-air refueling, hoist operations, and tactical flight and landing zone operations training in North Carolina and the Tennessee Army National Guard's Southern Training Area, Sept. 13, 2022. The mountainous terrain and higher elevation provided a unique training environment that allowed the squadron to test skills they may need in various parts of the world while executing combat rescue operations.
