Assumption of command
Col. Jesse Hamilton, 920th Rescue Wing commander, presents the 920th Operations Group guidon to Lt. Col. John Lowe, incoming 920th OG commander, during an assumption of command ceremony, Nov. 6, 2022, at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. The assumption of command is a long-standing military tradition which uses the passing of a guidon from one commanding officer to another, symbolizing a formal transfer of ownership and responsibility.
