39th RQS conducts FARP training

Staff Sgt. Jin Chang, 39th Rescue Squadron loadmaster, gives a hand signal to Master Sgt. Andrew Zema, 39th RQS loadmaster, during Forward Arming and Refueling Point training at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, Nov. 17, 2022. FARP provides the fuel necessary for helicopter and fixed-wing operations to continue their mission while reducing the vulnerability of forward deployed forces by taking gas from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft and passing it into another airframe on the ground using a system of hoses.
