305th Rescue Squadron leads first joint training with Coast Guard Advanced Helicopter Rescue School
A joint crew from the 305th Rescue Squadron and U.S. Coast Guard conduct preflight checks of an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter at Air Station Astoria, Oregon, March 4 – 10, 2023. The 305th RQS led this first ever joint-training event called “DoD week,” with the Coast Guard’s Advanced Helicopter Rescue School to conduct rescues in sea states of 15-foot waves and recover personnel from cliffs, caves and urban environments.
