Maritime combat search and rescue exercise

Pararescuemen assigned to the 308th Rescue Squadron bring a simulated downed pilot into a rigged alternate method boat during a water rescue training exercise nearby Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, July 25, 2023. The 308th RQS trains and maintains the Air Forces dedicated rescue capability for Department of Defense personnel, in support of Combatant Commander’s wartime objectives. Air Force Pararescuemen are the only DoD elite combat forces specifically organized, trained, equipped and postured to conduct full spectrum Personnel Recovery to include both conventional and unconventional combat rescue operations.
