Maritime combat search and rescue exercise
Pararescuemen and Aircrew Flight Equipment Airmen assigned to the 308th Rescue Squadron perform static-line jumps from the back of an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft during a water rescue training exercise nearby Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, July 25, 2023. The 308th RQS trains and maintains the Air Force's dedicated rescue capability for Department of Defense personnel, in support of Combatant Commander’s wartime objectives. Air Force PJs are the only DoD elite combat forces specifically organized, trained, equipped and postured to conduct full spectrum Personnel Recovery to include both conventional and unconventional combat rescue operations.
