39th RQS loadmasters conduct FARP training
Tech. Sgt. Justin VannCunningham and Senior Master Sgt. Dean Scalise, 39th Rescue Squadron loadmasters, attach a fuel hose to an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft during forward arming refueling point training point at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, April 25, 2024. FARP provides the fuel necessary for helicopter and fixed-wing operations to continue their mission while reducing the vulnerability of forward deployed forces by taking fuel from one aircraft and passing it into another on the ground by using a system of hoses.
