Air Force Reserve rescue crew chiefs at the 920th Maintenance Squadron performed pre-flight inspections here on an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter prior to a training mission Sept. 15.

An integral component of every mission, these crew chiefs leave no stone unturned when inspecting the aircraft and safeguarding the members who fly them.

The primary mission of the Pave Hawk is to conduct day or night combat search and rescue operations into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel during times of war.

HH-60G rescue crews also perform civil search and rescue, emergency aeromedical evacuation, disaster relief, international aid, counterdrug interdiction and NASA launch support.
