Guardian Angels Rescue Lost Father and Daughter Near Mt. Hood
Rescue personnel from the 304th Rescue Squadron and 125th Special Tactics Squadron recover an injured 34-year-old man and his 7-year-old daughter after the hikers we reported lost for two days. The rescuers had to navigate, with the injured patients on litters, through roughly one kilometer of dense terrain in order to reach the nearest service road. The 304th trains, equips, and deploys Combat Rescue Officers, Pararescuemen, and support personnel worldwide in the interest of U.S. national security. (Photo by 943rd Rescue Group)

A 7-year-old sits in an MRAZR after being rescued by Search And Rescue (SAR) teams from the 304th Rescue Squadron and 125th Special Tactics Squadron, both stationed on Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland Ore. On September 3, 2020, a 34-year-old male, his 7-year-old daughter, and dog were rescued after being reported missing for two days in the Mt. Hood wilderness area. Two-star general, 15 Texans experience Air Force Reserve missions in paradise through eyes of Airmen
Maj. Gen. Ronald B. “Bruce” Miller, 10th Air Force commander, Naval Air Station Forth Worth, Texas showed up on Florida’s Space Coast with 15 Texas business and community leaders to visit the 920th Rescue Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida and learn about its mission. During the visit, Miller experienced a tandem jump out of the back of an HC-130 King combat-rescue-and-rescue (CSAR) aircraft showcasing one of the skills required for CSAR missions. The civic leaders watched from the aircraft's open ramp. Afterward, Miller thanked Chief Master Mike Ziegler, pararescue chief, 308th Rescue Squadron, for being his jump master. The PAFB visit was their second stop on Florida’s East Coast after visiting the 482nd Fighter Wing, at Homestead Air Reserve Station, in Miami, earlier that day on April 24, 2019.
