Chief Delebreau
Chief Master Sgt. Jerry Delebreau speaks to 920th Rescue Wing Airmen here during Commanders Call March 4th; the last time as their Command Chief. Delebreau has been assigned to the Pentagon as the Chief Enlisted Liaison for the National Guard and Reserve Matters, Joint Chiefs of Staff. He leaves behind a 10 year legacy at the 920th RQW with the last four years serving the Citizen Airmen here as their Command Chief. He has been mobilized seven times in his career and has continued to augment active duty components overseas. Delebreau most recently returned from a seven month deployment in Iraq, resulting in him being the last Combat Airman out of the county when that war ended last year. Commander's Call
Chief Master Sgt. Gerald Delebreau, serving as the 321st Air Expeditionary Wing command chief master sergeant, from May 2011 to December 2011 was the last Combat Airman out of Iraq when the war ended December 2011. Here, he holds the U.S. flag during a remembrance march dressed in full battle rattle Sept. 11, 2011, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the attacks. The two-mile march honored those who lost their lives during the attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa. Tour of the 920th RQW
Col. Jeffrey Macrander, 920th Rescue Wing Commander, receives a token of appreciation from Mr. DePusoir of the Executive Leadership Development Program. The ELDP members, participants in a 10-month immersive program that exposes them to the roles and mission of the entire DOD, visited Cape Canaveral Air Force Station before ending their day learning about the Air Force Reserve's Combat Search and Rescue missions. Macrander spoke to the 60 member class about the roles and missions of the Air Force Reserve and the amazing stories of the Rescue Airmen who complete those missions. The class was able to climb on board an HC-130/King aircraft and HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter to learn about their mission capabilities. Two pararescuemen (PJs) were on scene with their gear to talk about their role during search and rescue missions and their experiences while deployed recently to Afghanistan. Capt. Paul Hayes, 920th Rescue Wing military equal opportunity officer, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., married his fiance Aleshia Panbamrung at a nearby beachfront hotel on Leap Day Feb. 29, and it cost them nothing because nineteen local vendors sponsored their wedding. The vendors initiated the launch of a new wedding web site and offered their products and services for free to a local military couple to launch their new web site. It was valued at $12,000. Command Chief is chosen!
Col. Jeffrey Macrander, 920th Rescue Wing Commander, hands over the responsibility of the 'eyes and ears' of the enlisted force to Chief Master Sgt. Timothy Bianchi during wing commander's call March 4. With a star to top off his eight stripes, Bianchi will wear the top enlisted rank in the wing. Bianchi replaces Command Chief Master Sgt. Gerald Delebreau who held the position since April 16, 2008. Delebreau is leaving for a new job at the Pentagon as the Chief Enlisted Advisor for the National Guard and Reserve Manager. While Delebreau was deployed to Iraq from April 2011 through December 2011, Bianchi was appointed as the interim command chief. "It is my honor and privilege to serve the Airmen here at the 920th Rescue Wing," Bianchi said during his acceptance speech.
