Football heroes
Combat search and rescue Airmen from the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., piloted an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter to South Carolina parking it next to Frank Howard Field at Memorial Stadium Clemson, S.C. October 20 for a Military Appreciation Celebration game against Virginia Tech. The Airmen were honored during halftime of Clemson's victorious game. Among them was Pave Hawk pilot Lt. Col. PET Scan of tumor
Master Sgt. Brian Ball, 920th Rescue Wing quality assurance inspector, was diagnosed with Stage III throat cancer April 29, 2010. After nearly 12 months of leave, the master sergeant returned to duty, with limitations, in November 2011. He will retire after 34 years of service on September 21, 2012.

Master Sgt. Brian Ball back to work
Master Sgt. Brian Ball, 920th RQW quality assurance inspector, was diagnosed with throat cancer on April 29, 2010. While his cancer is currently in remission, he must wait five years from the date he was diagnosed to be declared cancer free. According to the American Cancer Society, there are more than 100 types of cancer; statistically, half of all men and one-third of all women in the U.S. will develop a form of the disease during their lifetime.

Rescue Wing activates new flight
The 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., officially welcomes the 920th Aerospace Medicine Flight during an activation ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. August 5. Up until its deactivation on Tuesday, the 920th AMDF was a part of the 610th Regional Support Group. On Wednesday, it was realigned to fall under the 920th RQW.
